Challenge
PA Media were commissioned by Taylor Herring to create a video package and B-Roll content as well as a PA Edit to launch the new season of Westworld on NOW TV. To promote the new season, an ultra-realistic humanoid was placed in a local London pub and surprised customers with conversation and its life-likeness. The main challenge was choosing the best shots from multiple hidden cameras as well as behind-the-scene footage in the edit. The videos were to be primarily used for online media and also social media.
Solution
We filmed at a London pub and captured vox-pops from those that interacted with the robot as well as an interview with the person the robot was modelled after. We created different versions of the video that could be used across online and social media, with subtitled versions available, as well as a bespoke PA edit which included less branding and focused more on the robot and how lifelike it was.
Results
The video was picked up by: Mail Online and on their Facebook page, Mirror Online, Yahoo, BT.com as well as Independent IE, Belfast Telegraph and Aberdeen Evening Express and also on BBC Click.
