Challenge
PA Media was commissioned to produce a 2 minute video to celebrate the 30th anniversary of London City Airport. Our challenge was to seamlessly integrate archive footage of The Queen opening the airport opening 30 years ago with up to date footage of new terminals, runways and clients. The video was to be shown at the 30th birthday celebrations, in front of key stake-holders but also to be sent out to online media to cover the news story.
Solution
In order to ensure a corporate story had news value we worked with London City Airport to collate key statistics highlighting the growth and expansion of the airport. PA requested a news video of London City Airport in Numbers so we created a bespoke graphics-only edit which they distributed on the wire.
Results
With PA’s distribution of their edit, along with London City’s bespoke sell-in, a number of key online media owners distributed the story, including Mail Online, Independent, BT.com and MSN.
