Love Islanders give shoppers ‘complimentos’ for National Friendship Day

PA Media were approached by Mercieca PR on behalf of Mentos to create an editorial video following the release of Mentos rolls that come complete with compliments on the side of the packaging. They had also conducted research showing that face to face flattery is dying out in the digital age.
Solution
PA Media filmed Love Island winner Jack Fincham and former contestant Chris Hughes as they surprised shoppers in London with compliments to mark National Friendship Day. The Love Islanders handed out Mentos rolls, offering them a ‘complimentos’.
Results
We created two A-Rolls for our client, one branded and one editorial. We also edited a social cut and A-Roll/B-Roll for PA Media. The content featured on global online media and news.
